George MacDonald, from “The Complete Poems & Fairytales,” wr. c. 1905
i cant wait to live in a soft wooden cottage with my love…..planting sweet summer flowers in our garden and picking fresh raspberries and blueberries off their blooming bushes…the grass and dirt fresh and welcoming as i wander home with a wicker basket full of my forest findings…baking fresh banana bread while a kettle of tea hisses on the stove top, the windows open to hear the birds singing their love songs….
